About the Viansa Wine Run 5k
The course winds through the grounds of a winery in Sonoma, mixing dirt paths, paved stretches, and sections that take you right through the winery itself. The surrounding views are wide and open, the kind you get from a hillside estate. Strollers are welcome, and the surface variety keeps things interesting without being punishing.
Pickup happens on race morning, with the table opening well before the start. A wine pour waits at the finish, so there is reason to stick around after you cross.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Viansa Wine Run 5k has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
