About the Veterans Salute 5K Run/Walk
This is a hilly course through Rochester, put on by a local Boy Scout troop to honor veterans. The terrain demands some real effort, with climbs that break up the route and keep you working. A portion of what runners pay goes to a foundation that supports veterans and their families in the region.
The start area has vendors, live music, and a coffee truck, so there is something to stick around for after you finish. Raffle baskets round out the post-race scene.
