About the Veterans Marathon and Half Marathon
The course is a Boston Qualifier that runs a couple of loops through Columbia City, a small agricultural town in northeast Indiana. The roads are partly public, so the marathon has a cutoff tied to when permits require certain streets to reopen, meaning pacing matters more here than at many small-town races. The race honors veterans, and a portion of proceeds goes to local veteran charities.
Packet pickup is held inside the Clugston building, with options both the evening before and race morning. After you finish, hot soup and other refreshments are set out for runners, and age group awards go to the top finishers in each division.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Veterans Marathon and Half Marathon has been held every year since at least 2015. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
