About the Veterans 5K - Run for the Brave
The course runs through downtown Benson, moving between some of the oldest neighborhoods in town and newer ones before finishing on Main Street. The route is flat throughout, and the race draws walkers and strollers alongside runners. Proceeds support a local veterans organization, which gives the morning a sense of purpose beyond the race itself.
The post-race award ceremony takes place at Fainting Goat Brewery, a short distance from the finish. Registration is available on race morning before the start, so late deciders can still get in.
