About the Vashon Dock to Dock Run - 15 mile Run and Relay
The course runs the length of Vashon Island, point to point, from the southern ferry dock to the northern one. Island roads wind through forest and along the water, with rolling terrain throughout and one serious hill climb near the middle that the organizers have given its own name. The views toward Puget Sound open up on the west side of the route.
A local running shop sits in downtown Vashon and serves as a resource in the days around the race. Shuttles are available to move solo runners and relay teams between the docks and the exchange points, which takes the logistics pressure off anyone who needs a ride back.
