About the Van Nuys 5K Run/Walk

The course winds through Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks Park in a multi-loop format, starting with a tighter loop through the baseball diamond before opening up into larger laps around the park. The terrain is park paths, so expect flat, paved ground underfoot. A lead bike guides the field, and there is a water station at the start and finish area that you pass through each time around.

Packet pickup happens race morning, with check-in opening well before the start. Several parking lots sit around the park, so arriving early gives you a comfortable choice of spots.
