About the 49th Annual 2027 Upstate Orthopedics Mountain Goat Run

The course starts and finishes at Clinton Square, the plaza with the fountain in downtown. It heads south past the Landmark Theater before turning up Summit Avenue, where the climbing begins in earnest. The back half rolls through Onondaga Park, past a gazebo on Hiawatha Lake and up to a Hall of Fame monument with a view of the dome. This is a hilly course.

Street parking downtown is free on race day, with several garages nearby that open early. Road closures begin before the start, so arriving well ahead matters. Water and energy drink stations are spread across the course, and recovery drinks are available at the finish near the medical tent at Clinton Square.
