About the UnWINEd 5k Vineyard Run & Walk and Kids Grape Juice Run
The course runs through the vineyard itself, mostly on grass between the vines, so footing takes some attention. This is an untimed event, and the organizers are clear about it: the pace is entirely yours, and the vines are meant to be enjoyed rather than raced through. The surroundings do most of the work.
Packet pickup happens the same evening at the vineyard before the start. After finishing, wine tasting is complimentary for those over the legal age, and food trucks are on site. Snow cones are available for kids, and the event raises money for a local volunteer fire company.
