About the Union County Sheriff's Office (UCSO) Deputy Dash 5K Trail Run
The Deputy Dash runs a trail course out of the Simpson Event Center in Monroe, honoring Sgt. Jeff Greene, the only line-of-duty loss in the sheriff's office's history. The race benefits the UCSO Foundation, which gives it a purpose beyond the finish line. Expect a trail underfoot rather than pavement, so road shoes may not be the best call.
Packet pickup is available the evening before at the Simpson Event Center, with race-morning pickup as well. After the run, vendors and food trucks set up on site, and there are raffle prizes in the mix.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
