About the Ukiah Turkey Trot
The race runs at Lake Mendocino, with a shorter course staying on pavement in an out-and-back that is wide enough for strollers. The longer course mixes paved sections with single-track trail and gets into some real terrain, with views that open up along the way. Both routes share the same lakeside setting.
The race falls on Thanksgiving morning, so the atmosphere leans toward families and groups showing up together before the holiday kicks in. The lake area gives you plenty of space to warm up and gather before the start.
