The course follows a river and passes through a city park, so there is greenery underfoot even on a cool holiday morning. Costumes are a real part of the culture here, not an afterthought, and the prizes lean into the holiday spirit: winners take home frozen turkeys and pies instead of standard hardware.
Packet pickup happens race morning, with an option the evening before at a Carb Load Dinner, which is exactly what it sounds like.
