About the Tysons Rotary 5K Turkey Trot

The course runs through Tysons Central Park, a green patch tucked into one of the denser commercial corridors in the area. The route is flat, and the park setting gives it a bit of separation from the surrounding office buildings and parking structures. This is a Thanksgiving-week race organized by the local Rotary Club, with proceeds going to charities serving children, seniors, and people in crisis.

Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a local running store in Vienna, with race-morning pickup available at the park starting early. Parking is free in a garage off Westpark Drive, with some additional off-street spots accessible from Galleria Drive. There is a random drawing at the finish where a few frozen turkeys go home with lucky participants.
