Texarkana, AR
The race is held at a high school and carries real weight behind it. It honors a nurse whose colleagues established a scholarship in her name for students pursuing healthcare careers, and that context shapes the morning. This is a local event with a specific reason to exist, not just a holiday run on the calendar.
