About the Turkeywacker 5K
The Turkeywacker runs on Thanksgiving morning through the William A. Rice Complex, a trail setting that keeps things interesting underfoot. The course is wooded and scenic rather than pavement-flat, so expect some give in the ground and the kind of surroundings that make a holiday morning run feel worth it.
Bib pickup runs the evening before at White Barn Farm on South Street, which is a convenient stop if you want to skip the morning rush. Race-day check-in opens early, and there is a clear window to get sorted before the start. Donuts and cider come out after, under the Recreation Complex tent, alongside the awards.
