About the Turkey Vulture Trot 5k & 1-Mile Fun Run

The course runs along Mountain Center Road, so this is a point-to-point road race rather than a looping trail. The terrain is straightforward, and the Thanksgiving morning timing gives it a quiet, early-holiday feel. A portion of proceeds goes to a local raptor sanctuary, which fits the vulture-themed name.

Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a lakeside park venue on site. On race morning, check-in is in the Kinlochen Lobby outside The Thistle. After the race, the awards ceremony takes place under a pavilion tent near the Crystal Clipper, slopeside at the resort.
