About the Turkey Trot Yuma AZ 5K/10K
The course runs through West Wetlands Park, an out-and-back route along what feels like a quiet stretch of park path. It is not chip timed, so the atmosphere leans toward a holiday morning outing rather than a race-day pursuit. Runners doing the longer distance loop the course a couple of times. Thanksgiving attire is encouraged, and plenty of people show up in costume.
Water and hydration drinks are at the finish, along with snacks and music. There is also a food drive at the event, so bringing a canned good or a shelf-stable Thanksgiving item is a nice way to come prepared. Photos are taken on course and shared at no charge afterward.
