About the Turkey Trot

This is a benefit run put on by a pair of local car dealerships, with every dollar from entry fees going to a local cause. The atmosphere skews festive in the old-fashioned sense: face painting, music, costume contests, and fire pits are part of the morning alongside the running. Dogs are welcome.

Bib pickup runs the evening before at the Honda dealership. The start area has the feel of a community gathering rather than a race staging area, which makes sense given that the event is as much a fundraiser as it is a run.
