About the Turkey Trot for a Cure 5K Walk/Run for Alzheimer's
The race starts and finishes at the Morehead Conference Center, in the heart of downtown Morehead. The course is a road run, and the pace of the morning reflects the cause: people are here to honor someone, not chase a personal best. A Zumba warm-up happens on-site before the start, which sets the tone well.
A health fair, refreshments, and informational sessions on Alzheimer's and dementia run alongside the race at the venue. There is also a silent auction. Packet pickup opens well before the start, and race-day registration is available for those who skip the online window.
