About the Turkey Trot (Eckroat Benefits)
The course starts and ends at Dowdy Park, a central spot near downtown Summerville's train depot. The route is mostly flat with a couple of gentle rises that pass quickly. It is a road race, so the surface is consistent throughout, and a water station sits roughly at the halfway point.
The park setting gives the morning a walkable, central feel. Awards go to overall winners, age division leaders, the oldest finisher, and the youngest, so there is a reason to hang around after you cross the line.
