About the Turkey Trot 5K
The course runs through Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum, a historical property on the water in Saint Leonard. The park gives the route a scenic, open feel, with natural surroundings rather than roads and parking lots. The race draws a broad crowd on Thanksgiving morning, with families and solo runners mixed in throughout.
Packet pickup runs across several days the week before at the Project ECHO Homeless Shelter in Prince Frederick, which is worth doing since it saves time on race morning. The park gates close before the start, so arriving early matters. Check-in and the warm-up both happen at the Pavilion on site.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Turkey Trot 5K has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
