About the Turkey Trot 5K
This is a Thanksgiving morning race, so the field tends to show up in costume, and there is a best-dressed contest with a prize for whoever pulls it off. Pies are given away at random among participants at the finish, which makes the post-race gathering feel like a continuation of the holiday rather than an afterthought.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Byron PE Center, which keeps race morning manageable. Day-of check-in opens early and closes before the start, so arriving with time to spare is worth it.

The Turkey Trot 5K has been held every year since at least 2020. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
