About the Turkey Fun Run & Family Stroll 5K

The race starts Thanksgiving morning outside the Bardstown High School gym, which also serves as the staging area. The course is a road 5K, and the field tends to mix people genuinely racing with families out for a holiday-morning walk. Awards go to overall winners and to age group leaders, including the youngest and oldest finishers on the day.

Packet pickup opens early on race morning at the gym, so there is no need to come out the day before. The start area is right there, which keeps things simple if you are arriving straight from home before the rest of the holiday begins.
