The course moves through the University District and follows the Clark Fork River, so there is open sky and moving water for much of the route. It is a holiday morning race, and the crowd reflects that: strollers are welcome, and the pace across the field tends to vary pretty widely. A portion of proceeds goes to the Missoula Food Bank.
