About the Turkey Burner 5K
The course follows a paved path around Hinckley Lake inside the Hinckley Reservation, running counterclockwise with views of the water and surrounding woods. It is a road race in the flattest sense, smooth underfoot the whole way, and the lake setting gives it a quieter feel than a street race through town.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at an address in Medina, and the organizers ask you to grab bib and gear then to keep race morning moving. Parking at the South Ball Field lot is limited, so carpooling is strongly encouraged. Some runners show up in full Thanksgiving costume, which is apparently very much welcomed.
