About the Tunnel to Towers Arena Climb - Somerset, NJ
This is a stadium climb, not a road race. Participants work through the seating aisles of a baseball stadium, going up and down and around the bowl in a series of loops. First responders often show up in full turnout gear and breathing apparatus, which gives the event a different feel than almost anything else on a race calendar. The climb is timed, but you set your own pace.
Packet pickup runs the two evenings before at the venue, with early-morning pickup on event day as well. A short opening ceremony kicks things off before the climbing begins. Concessions stay open in the middle of the course, and water is available at the start, end, and between loops.
