About the Trufant Jubilee "Stump Chasers" 5k
The Stump Chasers 5K runs through country roads outside Trufant during the town's annual Jubilee celebration. The course is described as slightly challenging, which out here means rolling rural terrain rather than flat pavement. It starts near the Trufant Flea Market, heads up through town, then loops out into the countryside and back. The whole field, all paces, goes off together.
Packet pickup is race morning at the flea market's north entrance, which also serves as the parking area and the finish. Light snacks and water are at the end. Part of the entry fees benefit the Michigan Lyme Disease Association, and raffle prizes are open to everyone who finishes.
