The course winds through an apple orchard and into a wooded stretch before looping back to the start. Runners can wear costumes or just run. The route repeats a few times, so you see the trees more than once, and the surroundings feel more like a harvest outing than a road race.
Cider and donuts are out at the finish, staged at the orchard's front grounds, so the post-race area has the same apple-and-fallen-leaves feel as the course itself.
