About the Trick or Trail 5k
The race starts and finishes at Collyar Park, sending runners out on pavement first to spread the field before turning into the wooded trails of an outdoor education center. The trail section winds through the trees with enough turns to keep you honest, then spits you back onto the road for the run home. Costumes are part of the deal, and prizes go to the most creative.
After the race, the action moves to the town square, where local vendors set up and there are treats to find. It is a good reason to hang around rather than head straight to the car.
