About the Tri-State Warrior Run
The course starts and finishes on the grounds of a historic veterans home, and the surroundings are genuinely worth looking at: old stone architecture, a deer park, a stretch of military memorials, and an avenue of flags. From there the route heads out through a cemetery and along a trail before looping back. There is real elevation through those middle miles, so expect some climbing.
Packet pickup is the day before at a local running store, with race-morning pickup available at the start. Parking is near the administration building, with an overflow lot across from a small lake on the grounds. The railroad tracks that cross the course are not a joke: a train could come through, so build in some patience.
