About the Trax4Max Turkey Trot
This is a Thanksgiving morning race through historic downtown Florence, starting in front of a church on streets that have some character to them. The course is certified, flat enough for a holiday crowd, and the whole thing wraps up quickly, leaving you the rest of the day. The race benefits the YMCA of the Shoals in memory of a local man who loved running.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local running store, Solid Rock Running Company, with race-morning pickup available as well. Aid is available at the start and finish area, with water and first aid on course. Awards go deep into age groups, and the post-race ceremony happens before most people have started cooking.
