About the Traverse City Trail Running Festival
The courses run through Pere Marquette Forest on a mix of singletrack and wider doubletrack trails, so the footing shifts between technical and more open stretches. Several distance options spread across a weekend, with a relay kicking things off the opening evening and the longer individual races going out the following morning.
Everything starts and finishes at Timber Ridge RV and Recreation Resort, which makes the post-race scene easy to settle into. Fire pits, yard games, snacks, and drinks are set up there, and the format means people are finishing at different times throughout the day, so there is usually a crowd around.
