About the Trash Panda, An Awesomesauce Event
The course runs on natural trail from Laurel Point on Raccoon Mountain, looping out and back through woods that have roots and rocks underfoot but nothing technically punishing. There are no water crossings, and trail shoes help but are not required. The distance options scale up from there, all sharing the same loop.
The aid station is stocked well beyond the usual trail-race basics: sodas, sports drink, energy gels, salty snacks, sandwiches, and pickle juice shots among them. The organizers lean into the raccoon theme with some enthusiasm, and the whole morning has a personality that goes well beyond a standard trail run.
