About the Train Run Holiday Special
The concept here is the course itself: you ride a commuter train out of Asbury Park, get off at one of several stops depending on how far you want to run, then make your way back along the boardwalks to a bar on Main Street across from the train station. The longer routes follow the coast; the shortest cuts back on surface streets.
Check-in is at Johnny Mac House of Spirits before the group walks over to the train platform together. Post-run, there is pizza or an omelette and beer at the bar, along with raffle prizes. The event benefits a local school.
