About the Towpath Run 6K
The course runs point to point along Towpath Road, a wooded lane that sits just above the old D&H Canal towpath, with the Catskills visible through the trees. Both Accord and Alligerville were stops on that canal, so there is some history underfoot. The terrain has a real hill, and the finish is back in Accord.
Everyone parks and registers at the Accord Community Center, then buses shuttle participants out to the start in Alligerville. There is no option to drive to the start yourself. The community center is a short distance off the main highway, on a county road.
