About the Town of Bridgewater "Race to the Bottom" 5k
The race starts and finishes at Sandy Bottom Park, which sits alongside a miniature golf course and a par-three course. The name suggests a descent, and the course lives up to it. Prizes go to overall winners and age group placers, so there is real racing at the front, but the park setting keeps the morning relaxed in feel.
After you finish, you can use your bib to play the mini-golf or par-three course right there on site, free for you and whoever came to watch. The race also benefits the American Cancer Society, with an option to donate during registration.

The Town of Bridgewater "Race to the Bottom" 5k has been held every year since at least 2016. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
