About the Tour de La Porte 2026

The running and walking events start on Waverly Road and finish near Cummings Lodge, which also serves as the hub for the cycling rides. The course spans a range of distances, from a short family walk up to a half marathon, so the field tends to be wide open in pace and purpose. The event benefits the La Porte County Family YMCA.

Packet pickup runs the evening before, with a second window on race morning before the first wave goes off. The cycling events depart from and return to Cummings Lodge the following day, with staggered starts depending on distance.

Common Questions About the Tour de La Porte 2026

Will I finish last at the Tour de La Porte 2026?

Almost certainly not. Half the 13.1 Miles field finished slower than 2:07:34, and the last recorded finisher came in around 3:12:09, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Tour de La Porte 2026 a good first 13.1 Miles?

It is a small race (140 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 13.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Tour de La Porte 2026?

The 13.1 Miles winner ran 1:15:23 while the median finisher took 2:07:34. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
