About the Tomato Trail 5k Run

The race runs through historic downtown Yoakum and serves as the opening event for the local tomato festival, which celebrates the area's deep roots in tomato farming. The course winds past the kind of old storefronts and streets that give a small town its shape. A costume contest is part of the morning, with runners encouraged to show up in reds and greens.
