About the Tom Walker PREVIEW 5k and 10k

Both distances run along the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail, starting from Boulware Springs Park. The trail is a paved multi-use path through natural Florida scenery, and the route is an out-and-back, so the two distances share the same ground before splitting at the turnaround. The course also doubles as a preview of the Tom Walker Half Marathon route.

Parking at the trailhead is limited and fills quickly, so arriving early helps. Overflow parking is available at a nearby elementary school, a short walk from the park entrance. Street parking on the road outside is not recommended. Bib pickup happens race morning at the start, and online registration stays open until shortly before the gun.
