About the Tinsel Trot 5K & 1K Fun Run

The race starts on South Street in downtown Silsbee, timed for the Christmas in the Big Thicket Festival that follows. Runners are encouraged to come in holiday costume, with a costume contest judged before the start and winners announced after awards. The short fun run for young kids goes off after the main race wraps up, keeping the morning going.

Packet pickup the day before is at the Silsbee Public Library, with race-morning pickup available in the window before the warm-up begins. The race benefits Friends of the Silsbee Public Library, so the entry fee goes somewhere local.
