About the Timothy Murphy 10K
The course runs point-to-point along a trail beside a state highway, starting inside a state park and ending on the main street of Middleburgh as the town's fall festival and Oktoberfest are underway. The terrain is mostly flat with a gentle downhill tendency and a handful of short climbs. Finishing inside a street festival means there is actual crowd noise at the line.
A bus runs from Middleburgh High School to the start before the race, which is worth knowing because this is a one-way course with no return transportation. Parking is at the high school and a nearby soccer complex. Anyone driving to the start should plan for a drop-off, since cars cannot stay at the park once the race begins.

The Timothy Murphy 10K has been held every year since at least 2015. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
