About the Tiger Prowl 1 Mile & 5k
Both routes finish on the turf of the school's football stadium, which gives the end of each race a distinct feel. The shorter course turns around near the school entrance and comes straight back. The longer course dips into a residential circle to the south before looping back through the campus entrance and onto the field. The terrain is all road and sidewalk, flat through the neighborhood stretches.
Packet pickup opens before the first wave goes off, so there is time to collect your bib and warm up. The race benefits the school's cross country program, and athletes from the team run alongside participants.
