About the Tidewater Striders 2027 Distance Series #1
This race is part of a multi-event series put on by the Tidewater Striders, with this first installment running along the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail in Chesapeake. The trail is scenic and flat, following the historic canal through wooded surroundings. Runners can choose from several distance options depending on which series challenge they have signed up for.
Packet pickup is the evening before the race at a local running store, with race-morning pickup also available for a window before the start. The series challenges span multiple events, so this race is the opening leg for those chasing a longer cumulative goal across all three.

The Tidewater Striders 2027 Distance Series #1 has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
