About the Wine Run at Sakonnet Vineyard
The course winds through the working trails of Sakonnet Vineyard, so you are running among the vines the whole way. The terrain is honest trail, with rocks and ruts throughout, and the organizers are upfront that you should watch your footing. It is not a groomed path. The finish brings you back into the vineyard itself.
Bib pickup opens well before the start, and the race runs rain or shine. After finishing, there is dinner, wine, and live music out among the vines. There is also a souvenir wine glass at the finish. Parking is included.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Wine Run at Sakonnet Vineyard has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
