About the Trojan 5K
The course starts at a fire hall beside a municipal park, so the surrounding area is familiar ground for anyone from Soddy Daisy. It benefits the high school track and cross country teams, which gives the morning a school-spirit feel without being a school event. Dogs and strollers are welcome on the course, and walkers can join without being timed.
Packet pickup runs the couple of days before race day at a local State Farm office on Dayton Pike. Parking is available at the start area, though arriving early helps. Bathrooms are in the park, there is shade, and a coffee truck may be on site.
