About the Trestle Bridge Run

The course runs along the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail and finishes by crossing the Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge over the Conestoga River. The bridge is the centerpiece, a tall iron structure that feels genuinely different from a typical road finish. Runners are bussed one-way to the start, so the route is point-to-point, ending back at Safe Harbor Park.

Bib pickup opens the morning of the race at Safe Harbor Park near the bridge and closes before the buses depart for the start line, so arriving early matters. After finishing, there are snacks and beverages at the park. A kids' run across the bridge runs separately, starting a little after the main race.

Common Questions About the The Trestle Bridge Run

Will I finish last at the Trestle Bridge Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 6 Miles field finished slower than 58:39, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:36:56, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Trestle Bridge Run a good first 6 Miles?

It is a small race (29 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 6 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Trestle Bridge Run?

The 6 Miles winner ran 38:15 while the median finisher took 58:39. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
