About the Spooky 5K
The course starts in front of the county courthouse, threads through downtown, then heads out toward Deep Creek before looping back. It is a point-to-out-and-back shape through the heart of town, so you get a feel for the streets and then a stretch along the creek before turning for home. The race benefits local elderly residents and children in foster care.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
