About the SKIPPO Trail Race
The Skippo runs through Castlewood State Park, a wooded stretch along the river bluffs west of downtown. The course is mostly flat for a trail race, but there is one section of stairs that gets everyone's attention. Several distance options mean you can go short or push into longer territory, and a team competition on the shorter course adds a layer of friendly rivalry to the morning.
The team format is worth knowing about before you register. Pull together a small group, enter under the same name, and the combined times of your fastest members determine where you place. It is a good reason to talk a few running friends into showing up with you.
