About the Rachel Gernerd Phighting Irish 5K

The race is held at Farm Park, out near the pavilions, and the route runs through the park grounds. It honors a longtime club leader who helped build this event, and the proceeds go to a fund in her name at the university she served. The surrounding area is open and grassy, with space for kids to run after the main race wraps up.

The park has one vehicle entrance, off Germantown Pike at North Wales Road. GPS can send you the wrong way, so follow signs once you are through the gate and stay on the main road until you reach the pavilions and the parking area. After the race, there is an outdoor fall festival with local food, music, and games.
