About the Race for ChildRUN
The race is a fundraiser for a campus child care center, and that purpose is felt throughout the morning. There are a couple of distance options, one a challenging road course and a shorter run-walk option that draws families with younger kids. The terrain earns the word challenging, so expect some work on the longer route.
Proceeds support tuition scholarships for families at the center on campus. Refreshments are out after the finish, and age group awards are handed out before the morning wraps up. Registration opens before the start, so you can show up and sort out the details on race day if needed.
