About the Pink Dress Run
The course starts and finishes at a large park in the heart of downtown Knoxville, so you are running through the city center. The draw here is the pink dress requirement: tutus, vintage gowns, prom dresses, anything pink goes. There is a costume competition alongside the timed race, and the whole thing benefits breast cancer research through the American Cancer Society.
Post-race, there is music and plans for a live band, along with a celebration that organizers are working to include beer and margaritas at. The park setting gives spectators and supporters plenty of room to gather, and there are photo opportunities spread throughout the area.
